Diamond Golf now feature new Mitsubishi Rayon TENSEI™ CK Blue shaft

The TENSEI™ CK Series features a multi-material design that optimises classic, tour-proven MRC Golf bend profiles in much the same manner as racecar designs use exotic materials to enhance performance and efficiency.

While a typical shaft series includes three to six materials, the Tensei CK Series combines 11 different prepreg materials, including Low Resin Content prepreg, ultra-thin prepreg and for the first time, a Carbon Fiber/DuPont™ Kevlar® weave for ultimate refinement of a classic smooth bend profile.

The new shaft brand is inspired by the Japanese word “Tensei” – which means “transformation” in English.

Diamond Golf offers G-Rip’s new unique FL-1 Putter Grip

Leading European golf component distributor Diamond Golf International is now selling G-Rip’s unique putter grip FL-1.

Unique Triangular Shape
The FL-1 is a unique putting grip with an innovative triangular shape designed to help golfers find the correct hand positions on their putter quickly and easily – time after time. The V shape at the back of the grip sits snuggly into the fingers creating the right “feel” that golfers need to experience in order to produce a repeatable stroke.

Microfibre Material
The key to the FL-1’s incredible performance is the lightweight EVA under-listing and microfibre cover. The cover itself has hundreds of tiny silicone buds on the surface, which create points of contact with the hands through which the golfer receives instant feedback from their putting stroke. The FL-1 also has unique moisture-repelling properties which means its a grip suitable for all environments and weather conditions.

Put some colour in your game
The FL-1 putter grip is available in a choice of colours: Black, Red, Blue, Burnt Orange and Apple Green.

Vertical Integration by Mitsubishi Rayon

Mitsubishi Rayon’s golf shafts are made from scratch: they manufacture not only the shaft, but all of the critical  raw materials that make up the shaft’s composition including the monomer, acrylic fiber, carbon fiber, resin and prepreg. Over the last twenty years, they have developed more than a thousand different formulations of resin and made over a hundred types of fiber for many performance-based applications, including golf shafts.

This vertical integration means that any combination of resins and fibers required to optimize a golf shaft’s design and performance can be made. The majority of competitors work with a relatively limited list of raw materials from a finite number of available suppliers. Typically, they purchase stock prepreg, which can require designs to be adjusted to the limitations of the available materials. MRC’s ability to make any composition of resin or fiber and combine them into their own prepreg sets them apart from their competition.

Titanium Nickel Wire by Mitsubishi Rayon

Mitsubishi Rayon’s Titanium Nickel Wire (TiNi) is a highly elastic yet extremely strong material with the unique ability to stretch and then immediately regain its original shape. Integrating TiNi into the carbon layers of the tip section helps stabilize the tip-section and unloads tremendous energy, adding explosive power to the signature low-spin, penetrating ball flight associated with the Kuro Kage Silver. TiNi promotes less deformation and quicker shaft recovery through impact where its needed most – in the tip section.

Zelos 7 by Nippon Shaft

Light weight and strength have been mutually exclusive. Reducing the weight of steel has lowered its strength, increased the likelihood of breakage and reduced the pliability required to make dynamic shots. Two years ago, Nippon Shaft committed to solving this dilemma by developing a new type of shaft. Even though stronger steel commonly decreases flexibility, and greater flexibility commonly decreases strength, the aim was to develop a steel material that would deliver both greater strength and greater flexibility. After a long, arduous struggle of trial and error, Nippon finally developed a new material that offers impressive light weight, strength and tenacity: NSNS60.

The result of maximising this new material’s potential for an ultra-lightweight steel shaft category resulted in the N.S. PRO Zelos 7, an easy to handle shaft with an extremely smooth swing and gentle touch, combined with the exact swing characteristics of a graphite iron shaft.

Inspired by Zelos, the Greek god of rivalry, the name Zelos was chosen to to encourage competitiveness among steel-shaft users who relentlessly seek progress. Designed with a low kick point and evenly distributed rigidity, more than ample flexibility is delivered from tip to butt. As the world’s lightest steel shaft, Zelos employs newly-developed, cutting-edge, high intensity NSNS60 material that delivers the smooth control and performance of high-carbon material.

Regio Formula by Nippon Shaft

Fulfilling the perennial desire of golfers to ‘hit as straight and far as possible’, Nippon Shaft ingeniously blends renowned steel expertise with a new carbon design philosophy. The resulting advantages of this sensitive, high-performance carbon shaft – namely controllability and maximum carry – are realized by combining the flexibility of steel with the strong kick of N.S. PRO’s unique, cutting-edge torsional rigidity.

  • Extend carry distance with increased initial velocity, decreased spin and optimized angle of trajectory: Made possible by years of ball flight R & D, the N.S. PRO Regio Formula with core shell rubber (CSR), new epoxy resin and high tip rigidity is the perfect formula for long drives.
  • Double elasticity delivers stunning initial velocity for power drives: New high elasticity sheets are the most notable feature of the N.S. PRO Regio Formula. Through a combination of carbon fiber and core shell rubber (epoxy resin mixed with CSR), they strengthen the shaft and deliver more powerful impact. A multi-layered bias layer consisiting of high and ultra-high elasticity sheets contributes to even harder impact. Moreover, the doubled effects of combining highly elastic carbon fiber sheets (80t) with CSR result in higher ball velocity.

Material Stiffness Integration Technology by Graphite Design

Material Stiffness Integration (MSI), is a proprietary design concept by which Graphite Design develops golf shafts. By using a different combination of materials that vary in stiffness and fiber volume, vibration is reduced giving the shafts an overall superior feel.

Composite materials consist of two main components: graphtie fiber and resin. The stiffness of each fiber has an impact on how much vibration is is transmitted up the shaft affecting feel. The resin acts more like a sponge absorbing the vibrations, creating exquisite feel. Using proprietary design formulas which integrate these materials, Graphite Design shafts wield both perfect distance and pure accuracy.

XDT Technology by Graphite Design

Graphite Design shafts are developed with a philosophy that requires new technologies that are tested and proven on professional golf tours. Graphite Design’s latest X-Directional Technology (XDT) incorporates the use of the already proven Material Stiffness Integration (MSI) design method as well as this new and unique application of graphite fiber ply angle alignment throughout the shaft structure. During the development phase of XDT, measurable performance gains were discovered through a more balanced distribution of the graphite fiber angles within the piles of the shaft design.
